We have 8 teams now!

We can now draft. I have tried to delay the draft until Sunday, 2SEP. But, being that this is my first time as Commish, I am not sure I have done that properly. Prepare for a draft tomorrow (late) and we'll see what happens. There is a Commissioner's tool to do away with the draft and redo it (ace in the hole tool). We'll see. I will contact all of you probably Saturday AM with a satus report. Until then, you can use the features to massage your automatic draft choices somewhat, and give you a little bit of control over its outcome.

Well, I woke up this morning and none of the teams had players, so I guess I successfully delayed the draft for a week.

Continue to tweak your draft preferences until the draft and, if you had a team last year and you have players on that roster that you want to keep on your team this year, tag those players as being Keepers and they will remain on your team this year and will be immune from being drafted by another team this year.

BP is rethinking his decision not to play FFL this year, but if you decided (today) to play again, I can get you both in and we'll have ten teams. Will you do it?

Sorry, I missed the topic as it is pinned and my eyes seems to filter pinned topics by default! Thanks for the heads up via IM Rocky. I'm registering ASAP.

EDIT: Wont let me register access the league since I'm not in it. I assume that Rocky needs to add my team and that's what he meant in the IM.

I don't think we can select keepers, can we? The 2011 rosters aren't available.

When I first got my team and did the Keeper thing, it gave me my roster as of the last week of last year. It's not doing that for you?

It didn't for me, but that is OK. I want to start from scratch.

I know now why - when you were both originally sent invitations to join, and you had both been a member of the league last year, you had a link between this year and last year (as a returning member). When Elliot could not get his wife in the league a week or so ago, it turned out that it had reserved league spots for all in the league last year and sent him a message that his wife could not join because there were too many teams in the league. So, in order to make room for new entries, I had to cancel invites from last year that had not yet responded (like Juan and BP - whom I felt had decided not to play by not signing up). Doing that allowed room for Elliot to get his wife in, but it also did away with your connections with last year's team roster (treating you as a first timer). That's my fault and it cannot be undone (I've checked). I had to make a leader's decision at the time and live with the results. Since that is the case, that each of you will get brand new teams, I will go ahead and draft tonight as previously planned.

Draft is in 8 hours and 45 minutes. Feel free to tweak your pre-draft player rankings.

Eh, no worries. I landed a awesome team last year, but that was the luck of the autodraft. It's just a for-fun league anyway.

Draft was last night. All teams now have players. Feel free to tweak your rosters. Firt game is Wednesday (Dallas at New York Giants), so if you plan on playing one of your team members that is either a Cowboy or a Giant, you had best get that person in your lineup by evening next Wednesday.
