Just fired the last 125 mm round, MG ammo is spent. Fix bayonets!

Did someone post a video of an open bottle of beer on a tank while it was moving without any being spilt?

The Japanese were classier with their wine, though.

It's so odd to me, how the Merkava 4M can be my favorite looking tank (after that the Leclerc), while at the same time I'd rate the Merkava 1-3 series as probably the ugliest modern tanks.

Plus, the Trophy on the Mark 4 made it a lot more aesthetic, but on the Mark 3 it had an opposite effect IMO.

Oh noes! The secret assembly area of the Kitsap County Milita has been exposed!  :ninja:

iirc and afik the M47 were put there for tests by the proving grounds in Meppen.  But never really used for the purpose and removing the hulks would be too expensive. I guess the are going to be removed one by one and used as hard tagets for gunnery ranges in the future.

I have wondered for some time how museums moved tanks, especially non running ones, without tearing up their floors.

I've seen Bovington use both a large tractor and a Centurion engineering vehicle, with tow bars.  They used plastic pads under the tracks to prevent damage to the floor.

I happened to be there when the APG Elefant arrived at Bovington and was unloaded from the trailer, which was quite exciting!
