Is the T-72B used nowadays without ERA and if so by whom? Reason I ask is I bought a T-72B model but sources on net say it was only used very briefly before ERA was fitted as standard.

Consider modifying it with the mounting studs for the reactive armour, which would be a big job. They use pretty much the same tank today with the reactive armour boxs fitted, though upgrading them to B3s. I seem to recall someone did a pretty nice T72B3 conversion kit,I keep meaning to get one.

Though I could see a use for the turret system on a BMP or BTR hull (MT-LB maybe) for use by the army in places that the 2S6 cannot go because of its weight.

There is Sosna, but I think it remained in realms of paper projects.

Ended state trials in 2017. Might be shown at MAKS in July. If so - here will be photos.

According to the description on YouTube, " Minsk, capital of Belarus 06/24/2017 during a rehearsal parade for Independence Day."

I am curious as to what caused the tank to slide.

My first thought was that the right side final drive locked up but then I watched a couple more times and it is apparent that the driver got off the throttle before applying the brakes.  Metal tracks, wet asphalt, high speed, uneven braking...power slide.

If that is the case, then I'd have to ask what the light vehicle right near the tank in this photo is:

I ask because it looks very much like a Humvee.

It's a Chinese copy, EQ2058.
