Yes. Rh202 with selectable twin feed. Same as in Marder or Luchs. Or on Marine vessels.

Grandson of the Carden-Lloyd Universal Carrier if you will.

I like. I did recon in the US Army and that would be a great vehicle for sneaking and peeking without having to walk and _just enough_ armor and firepower to keep the crunchies down. I'd rather something like that than, say, our M551 or the monster huge M3 Bradley. Those can have their place, but for real recon, neither is very good. This would be almost as good as the old gun jeeps were; we could get lots of places Bradleys and Hummers couldn't get in to.

Aww...a baby tank... ^_^

Wiesel-Armoured-Weapon-Carrier-04-13-201

he looks a little forlorn

could be serving a 2 man vehicle is a bit more demanding than with 4 man crew.  More rsponsibility, less assistance in moral and practical matters.

I could swear we've had at least two successive general tank video threads, but can't find anything.

French-German TV station arte, somewhat unusually for their general focus on cultural affairs as implied by their name, has a 90-minute documentation on the history of the tank (or rather the armored fighting vehicle, as they include lots of footage of whateverpanzers in the German sense). Mostly on political rather than military aspects though, and technical accuracy is so-so despite input by experts from Bovington, Munster and Saumur. Available in German and French, but not English.

This documentary was too much focused on the psychological effects of the tank into warfare.

Several mistakes, for example : they talk about the T-34 but instead, show us footage of a KV-1 factory...

all kinds of mistakes

not really worth enduring thru - 2 women authors - woman narrating - usual tidbits of experts - the French guy at Saumur says tanks engines had to be very large so they used marine/ships engines (huh ?)

and the usual " the Tank is a machine for K I L L I N G  ! "    oh terrible and so forth

Correct: A tank is an instrument of the military used to acheive a military objective.

Arte has lots of good programming (this wasn´t one of them), but it is the most thorougly saturated socialist Green left wing of all the " Zwangs"  public financed TV.

Is the divers compartment fairly dry during fording like this?
