The Israelis hit Aleppo, and not a peep from the Russians.

Not sure why the Russians would get involved at this point. The IAF has been hitting targets all over the country for years while avoiding Tartus, Latakia, and Masyaf areas.

Russia has nothing to gain by getting between Israel and Iran unless they could actually pacify the situation and Russia is unable to do that due the IRGC's persistence in seeing itself as being on a Mission From God.

Right, but Aleppo should be right between the S-400 and S-300 positions, so it's not like strikes further south or further east.

I wasn't aware of any Russian SAM sites in that area. AFAIK their presence is at their port, their airbase, and a SAM site Northwest of Masyaf. Where is there a Russian position on the other side of Aleppo?

Quneitra province reportedly agreed to capitulate and bussed to Idlib. It means soon we will see strange situation of Syria\Israel border guarded by Russians from both sides - Russian migrants from Israel Army side and   Rus Mil police from Syria side....

I thought the S-300 was considerably inland.  Might be wrong on that.  Aleppo is well in range of the S-400 site though.

Tel Aviv is well within range of the S400 site, if we use that metric. I'm also not aware of S300s being in Syria, just 2-3 batteries of S400. You can see what I think are at least two batteries and possibly a battalion HQ/volume air search radar here:

I can only see an SA-5 battery.

Maybe it is, but the shadows cast by the launchers made me think that the missiles were stored vertically, plus it doesn't look like any of the other Syria SA-5 sites (or what I *think* are SA-5 sites) which typically are 2-3 batteries covered by SA-3:
