There was at least one M18 brought back from the US military from the former Yugoslavia. Ive no idea how common that was.

As Ken said, it is possible to do if you can throw enough lawyers or political clout at the problem.  Some of the former Yugoslav stuff came in with the country of origin as Greece, not sure why that made it possible but that is what I was told by people at Littlefield's.

How strange.

Wonder if that was the one that was featured in an episode of Tank restoration?

Ive not been in 10 years, but I thought the extension would have gone some way to rectify this.

If you look at the Tank Chats, you'll see quite often the inside of the extension building. They're rammed in so tight it's a tank geek's monkey climb (not world, sorry Harold).

I imagine that in padt decades they will have "borrowed" space from the army, but if they're doing that now, the beancounters would be charging rent.

When during the NoVA I&I we went to visit the Virginia Museum of Military Vehicles. Lots of risky tank climbing involved.

The Merkava in Czech Republic is in running condition, they show it each year during the Tank Day in Lesany Museum....

Is there video of that Merkava out there somewhere?
