Next thing I overlooked. The 6" are one deck below the 1st and 2st main turret but still above the level of the 3rd and 5th.

The lower forward casemates on US dreadnoughts were also built on the same level as quarterdeck, that was not really the issue - but they were so far forward that the ywere directly exposed to waves in far milder sea states (let alone the aft casemates below quarterdeck).

Just found myself with a draw result, costing 3000 credits for servicing.

Looked at the results. Everyone scored 0 pioints, the game just threw us all out without getting our metaphorical feet wet.

I present to you the Pan Asian Cruiser Huang He! *feelfreetogoogle*

Pan Asian? At that time? ... Ok, that's 2017 marketing for you but what is she based on?

The bridge looks somewhat British, the turrets look like a Leander's but the stacks are all wrong. What is my "ship recognition-fu" missing? Or is she a work of fiction?

With Russian mains and secondaries, so yes, a work of fiction...

That looks nice. It'll be a shame if something happened to it!

The AA is rather good, so chances of being Rudelised are greatly reduced. :P  Skycancer is crashing down all around this one.

I already got sunk by one of those, in my shiny new Iron Duke.

One of those hopeless games where there just aren't enough islands to hide behind - I think I had enemies on 3 sides at the end when there was me and two CVs left on our side.

"It" is somewhat vulnerable to taking hits on its broadside, so straight sailing "ship-of-the-line" style slugouts should be avoided, zig-zag works better so alternating between closing in and withdrawing is optimal.
