Saw this picture on another site.  It is captioned as being 1981 aerial photos of the Polish 14th Tank Division, however it has been opined that it is actually a unit from the DDR as evidenced by some DDR built trucks.  I'm thinking it is possible that DDR sold some trucks to Poland, but I also believe Poland had a fairly robust automotive industry so there would be little need to buy from the DDR.   In any case, are there some opinions and input out there?

It's Polish. You can see OT-64 APCs the E. Germans did not use. Also Polish "Star" trucks. There is also at least one Czech Praga V3S truck which Poland did use in small quantities, but AFAIK E Germany did not.


Late edit, the V3S trucks are near RM70 rocket launchers (Poland had these, but so did Czechoslovakia), whereas the Star trucks are near to BM-21s, but the giveaway is a Czech 53/59 Praga twin 30mm SPAAG near the V3S trucks. So, I'm thinking we have a Polish unit and a Czech one.

Yes, no GDR-Army NVA troops. Clearly. No GRD produced trucks ar seen.
