One of the military blogs I read mentioned how the commander of JSOC, Vice Adm. McRaven, wrote a book on Special Operations back in the 90s:


I remember looking over my shoulder and seeing it on my shelf. I bought it shortly after it came out and still remember how good of a read it was (a near 400 page book that reads faster than most half that size).

If anyone hasn't picked it up, I highly recommend it. You can see quite a bit into the thinking of the man who oversaw the operation to get OBL.
