I just got a copy of Fallout 4. It won't even launch. Half the changes make me cringe with disgust as a long, long time FNV player. Hell i even got Tales of 2 wastelands working mostly okay and can play 3 and NV @ the same time. (separate drives)

I have to go into windowed borderless to even get the game to launch. So, before i tear my eyes out(i could care less about GFX, i want mechanics that work) anyone advise a short list of mods?

 

Hi Avalon, meant to put some together the other night and forgot. Here is a "small" list of mods. I have many more I can recommend, especially some that add in more random enemy and good guy spawns to make the world seem less empty. If you have any questions just let me know.

 

True Storms Rising 

 

Tracers 

 

NPC's cant use work stations 

 

Satellite World Map 

 

Accessing Mag Locks Delay bug fix 

 

Holo Time 

 

VAFS - Use in place of VATS because VATS is bugged and causes the game to crash for many people 

 

Vadalcils Item Sorting Mod 

 

Salvage Beacons 

 

Clean black Pipboy screen 

 

Realistic Ragdoll - so bodies dont go flying 7 counties away 

 

Armorsmith extended 

 

Quick Trade 

 

Better wait menu

Survival Options 

 

Full Dialogue interface 

 

Live Dismemberment 

 

Survival Quick Save - trust me you want to be able to quick save a Bethesda game, they crash even without mods, though this one is pretty stable for me, and I have it insanely modded. 

 

Faster Terminal Displays  - a must have 

 

Corpse Loot Detector - helps finding bodies once your perked right 

 

Mega explosions - this makes explosions more powerful - so life in the commonwealth is a lot more interesting. Your grenades are more powerful, but so are the bad guys, and the random car and robot explosions.

Does everyone see the damn dog following them even when it is told to stay? Damn thing makes so much noise it's a liability.

Any companion is a liability. Get their perk and send them to Sanctuary, the only sensible option.

Any companion is a liability. Get their perk and send them to Sanctuary, the only sensible option.

 

This +100000 Especially if you are playing a stealth character 

 

My dog's gone missing, no idea where it is...

Mine often gets bugged in elevators and goes back to default Red Rocket truck stop outside sanctuary or to whatever settlement you assigned it to go back to last.

Because of that there is the lone wanderer perk. No companions.
