This is good, from 1981. Watch from 14 30 onwards where they practice an attack run.

Maybe they should do a follow up where an F15J Squadron goes back in time to 1944 Japan. :D

That has to be an anime already

Probably is. I saw one Japanese film where they were fighting off Flying Saucers with a Mixture of X15's and RATO TSR2's, so everything goes. :)

Ive seen this many times, but I never noticed that. The Tomcat was a bitch when you got it into a spin, standing orders were if  sweeping forward the wing didnt do any good, you have to punch out. One of the more realistic bits of Top Gun. Well, other than the gay volleyball anyway.

I should have annotated; the clip is from The Final Countdown, where Nimitz gets transported to waters off Hawaii on Dec 6, 1941.

Ill have to keep an eye open for it.

This was good, found it linked on the DCS forum in the section on the Mig23 they are working on.

Thats fair enough, but lets try and keep the cut off somewhere around 1989-1992 or so. I think there are enough threads for anything more modern than that.

The Classix section of the Bundeswehr's Youtube channel is always a good bet, complete with wooden acting by service personnel thrust in front of a camera.

I still remember the Starfighter at one of the early Greenham Common shows being so damn loud, it had my mother on the ground with her heard in her hands. It was reflecting off concrete which made it even worse.

I seem to recall there was a video online of the 1980 show, the same year I went, but I cant find it right now. This is pretty good though. I think this is the last one they had there, before they moved to RAF Fairford after the GLCM deployment.

Thought these were interesting, if a little wacky. Supposedly they were popular at Soviet airshows, because the automatic fault detection system used to fail and automatically eject the pilot.
