As far as building IFVs from scratch, AFAIK the only thing Ukraine could produce is a MTLB derivative.

As far as I know technology of producing thin armor plates is lost in Ukraine, so they cant.

How do they make BTR-4?

According to this article https://www.rupor.in...vannye-btry-smi, since 2015 Ukrainian army БТР-3ДА are produced with de-facto fake armor (original Belgian HB500MOD armor was replaced with cheaper ATI500AR)

Ukraine is looking at upgrading the T-64 fleet with more advanced night sights and more powerful engines. During the war in the East it was found that the Bulat was somewhat underpowered. As I understand, the air filter also struggled with the increased flow.


In the 70/80s a T-64 variant with 6TD engine was developed (T-64BM), but never got into mass production as production stopped in 1987.
