Ooops!!

I listened to a podcast where the same thing happened to an F14 driver. He came home with the hose beating the hell out the aircraft. When he walked in the crew room, someone put it on his chair. :D

When ever I see a pic like that, my first thought is that it’s only been a generation between those two. Things are moving so fast in the last 100 years.

I am not sure if this is a recent shot or not, but it is stunning.

Some potential traffic conflicts, there.  Any video?  THAT would be something to watch (and hear!). :)

b-52h-05-15-2019.jpgA B-52 Stratofortress, nicknamed "Wise Guy," taxis into Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, May 14, 2019. The jet had been sitting at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona since 2008. It is being returned to service to replace a B-52 lost during takeoff in 2016.

The caption from StrategyPage: "U.S. Army Paratroopers assigned to the 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade, prepare to board a U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules from the 86th Air Wing at Villafranca Air Base (3rd Wing) Italy, in preparation for airborne operations onto Juliet Drop Zone, Pordenone, Italy, May 21, 2019."

My guess is that the scheme is a D-Day homage, but the jump was a routine training drop.
