Problem is it takes money to get the gold and no money for that. If they every started charging to play any of there games I'd no longer be playing.

So yet another ship I'll never be able to play. Thanks.

Sadly had you signed up a few weeks ago, you would have gotten the Albany for free as credit earner

The Langley is... tough.

You're too slow to keep up with the fleet even if going full speed right from the start.  I've had several games where I simply fell behind and enemy destroyers and cruisers came in from the opposite side and caught up with me.

Also, the lack of a second TB group makes it damn near impossible to kill those destroyers and cruisers if they have half a brain.

In the Hosho you could keep up with the main body and simply focus on doing damage to the ships in front of it, helping with the steamroll.  In the Langley I've found I can basically get in 1 strike in that area and then I'm forced to look for what's coming up behind me and try in vain to defend myself from it.

I can see now why grouping up would be key to maintaining a good win rate in this.

Rage-sold the Langley.  Doubt I'll get the Bogue anytime soon.

Between the Langley and Wyoming my w/r dropped 9-fucking-percentage points in the span of a week.  I'm curious if I've been taking too long to progress up the tech trees and I'm left with all the mouthbreathers who are so bad it's taken them this long to grind to mid-tiers from when the OB first started.  Teams seemed to literally go from AMGAMAZING (I even posted about this a few weeks ago in one of these threads) where they sailed and worked together to where now every ship appears to be driven by someone who's special needs with zero fucking cooperation or sense in anything that they do (like that Phoenix driver from the Mouthbreather thread I posted about not too long ago).

I haven't even bothered to unlock the carrier lines.  I sold off my Wyoming and am pretty close to selling off the Kawachi.   At least in my cruisers and US DDs the shells mostly go where I aim them.  I don't play the Japanese DDs because I prefer running around shooting stuff with my guns and getting in the occasional torpedo sucker punch to playing the stealth torpedo game.

I'm starting to think the stock grinds can be far too brutal in this game.  When I grinded to the Hosho I effectively played the Myogi stock the entire time (the second hull does little to upgrade it) and ended up like 4-6 during that grind.  Since coming back to it and playing it fully upgraded I'm 9-1-1.  I've read from others on the wotlabs forums that there are several BBs in the game like that: effectively unplayable stock due to too short of engagement range and/or slow speed but are fine when fully upgraded.

In WoT you can throw out gold rounds to compensate during a bad stock grind (as the gun is generally the biggest issue).  No option like that yet in WoWs.

I'm starting to wonder if there was a stealth buff to DBs with the OB patch.  During CB I ran tests here which showed DBs were garbage.  Since OB and now getting up into higher tiers where I'm seeing DBs again I'm seeing far more destructive runs under less than ideal conditions.  I've had multiple fires set by DBs that were perpendicular to me on their approach.  Multiple fires seem to be the norm rather than the very race occurrence they were back in CB.

I'll definitely need to run some tests when I purchase the Zuiho here in the coming days...

Maneuvering against them doesn't seem as effective as it once was and fires do seem to occur much more often.  I think I'm set on fire about 3 hits in 4 in my lower tier DDs.  Not sure about the Sims.

Have to love how it's 2015 and the chat feature makes one long for the days of the internet before the millennia.  It just took me over a minute per name to blacklist three people.

The streaks I've gotten over the last two weeks have me ready to throw my PC out the window.  Two weeks ago I was sitting over 100 games with a 63% w/r.  Go down the USN BB line til I unlock the Langley.  W/R drops but it's understandable because the SC and Wyoming suck.  Get the Langley and the w/r keeps going down.  Rage-sell the Langley and jump in the Myogi.  Yesterday I go 9-1-1.  Today, even though my average dmg per game has doubled I've lost EIGHT straight.  I'm used to streaks, but given the performances I've put in today I was expecting to carry one or two games.  The conspiracy theorist in the back of my head is starting to wonder if there's some hidden experiment going on with MM...

Haha.

If you think this is anything, pop over to Wot-forum. :)

But as I have stated somewhere, the stupidity is sometimes scary. Consider that most of them probably will get, or already have, driving-licenses.

As Stefan said you should go check out what I've written in the WoT section here.

I'm not at all apologetic about them, either, or for telling folks in-game that they're shit and wasting people's time.  I've been gaming online since it first started and some things have become painfully obvious over that time.  Trolls in-game aren't angels IRL who spend the rest of their time feeding and sheltering the homeless.  They're trolls IRL, too (though more subtle, for obvious reasons).  Folks that play a game long enough to the point where they should have learned the basics but are still terrible are likely terrible at what they do IRL as well.  And at the end of the day these are multiplayer games with other real people.  It's irrelevant what you're there for.  There's a clear understanding in how the games are designed that teamplay and winning should be priority and key.  Folks who troll, are terribad, or who's attitude is 'fuck it' are wasting the time of other people and that's total douchebag behavior.  There are a ton of single-player games out there folks can go enjoy where they can be bad, retarded, or whatever.  That's not acceptable, nor should it be (though WG seems to do their best to make it that way), to be that way in a multiplayer game.

I have the Wyoming and Mygoi, both are fully upgraded and both generally bring in around 100,000 credits per game. The Mygoi lacks guns, but has a higher ROF, the final hull gives you a spotter plane and AA. The spotter plane gives you a useful addon to the already decent range and if played right you should be able to deal out damage to other ships with minimal chance of being hit back. The speed, turn rate and AA give you some chance against TB's

The Wyoming lacks the speed and gunnery range, but has a useful AA suite. It makes up for a slower ROF with the number of guns it has and is more of a slugger in closer and is good at defending itself against DD's. Turn rate is not bad.

Since a recent patch I notice the guns on my Japanese DD get completely destroyed frequently.

I think it works best if you give people the plan not ask them.  it's still a crap shoot but I find that when I say something like "I'm gonna grab B and move to C" some number of the team will support me, not always enough to win the game but at least there's a little bit of organization.  It's also helpful if you tell a CV or BB that you will be escorting him,  they will occasionally give you a clue about what they plan on doing. Which makes it easier to stay in proximity to them.
