OK, I have atm following:

T1 Heavy, T29, Churchill 7, Tiger 1, Löwe.

Hellcat, T28.

T71, ELC.

See what's missing: A few good mediums. Main purpose - to use when platooning.

I want suggestions for 3 tier 5-7 mediums, one in each tier. Nationality does not matter. Credits is not an issue.

List your favorites, and why they are your favorites.

Hum. I say US line for all tiers: Mobile, rapid-firing, accurate, even if Alpha isn¨t that good. Possibility to mount 105mm howitzer if you prefer high damage and HE/HEAT.

Alternatively, British line. You don't have derpguns at your disposal, however Crusader, Cromwell and Comet have pretty good mobility.

Yeah... I did try E8 for a few matches and didn't like it at the time, favoring stock M4 and E2.
Perhaps now is the time... will give it a go.

M4 with 105mm, 76mm is machine-gun fast, but not enough on those tiers.

And KV-13, even nerfed is awesome if you like to play fast tanks.

I like to play mediums like lights, so Cromwell is a must for me, bet then you need to like lights.

Stock M4 - had lots of fun with it, but grew tired of it.

First (actually 2nd, I only it once many months ago) game in E8, I may like it:  :)

+2000 dmg, only a 6-kill enemy KV-1S out-damaged me with 100.

I did "cheat" somewhat; free xp to tracks, then had best radio, M1A1-gun, engine, and - a very good hodge-podge crew with skills.

And also got a good matchup.

Tier 5  - Pz-III/IV, M4, T-34 (but only with 57mm).

Tier 6 - M4E3E8, M4A3E2, 300x series, I prefer 3001H, but 3601 seems to be everyone's favorite.

Tier 7 - T20, KV-13 (horrible grind but great tank when fully upgraded), 3002DB..

Tier 7:  I really enjoy the UK Comet.  Decent armor for a medium, decent gun, decent speed and turning rate.  Gun depression is good -- not as good as the Sherman or the like, but way better than Russian mediums.

Tier 6:  I also like my Cromwell a lot.  It's speed and turning rate is almost as good as a lot of lights.  But it's got good armor and a decent enough gun for its tier group.  It works great as a heavy but hard hitting scout; or as a medium.

Tier 6: T-43.  I was pretty ambivalent about Russian mediums.  Mostly because of their limited hull-down fighting ability -- poor gun depression.  But I held onto my T-43, and it's really grown on me.  Pretty good medium -- decent armor and decent gun for it's tier group.

Tier 5:  I'd agree with Bojan and others above and their choice of the standard Sherman -- uber great gun depression -- excellent hull down fighter.  I usually run it with the 76mm.  But occasionally derp with it when premium rounds are on sale  :D

Also Tier 5's -- PzKwIV and PzKwIII/IV both have great speed and turning rates.  I also like the 75mmL48 gun for this tier group.  But they have thin armor.

Haven't tried the KV-13 yet, but see a couple folks above giving it the thumbs up.  I think I'll pick one up this weekend and give it a try.  For whatever reason, I don't seem to see it a lot in the matches I typically get tossed into.

Btw to specify: With Cromwell you HAVE a viable derpgun, but then you have to play it as a mobile direct fire artillery and ahoot at long range at stationary targets (to hit their top armor), for everything else... I have to say I enjoy Cromwell more with 6pdr than with 75mm HV.

I run it with the 75mm HV.  But I can also see the attraction of the high rate of fire on the 6pdr.  I use the quick firing 6pdr on my M-7 instead of the 75mm and have a ton of fun with it.  Very effective gun for flank and rear shooting, or in 'full-frontal' with lower tier tanks.

Have never derped in the Cromwell.  I'll have to give it a try.

But in all I found the British mediums rather enjoyable. But then the Chinese are not bad either.

One warning however, gun depression is -5deg only.

Full up M4, PzIV, Cromwell or 3601. All are fun, can either be on top or on the bottom, yet in both you can influence the battle and have the speed to get across the map. All have gun options that let you hurt everything you see. If you tend towards heavies, then the 3601 is for you, a heavy/medium it is.

don't forget tier I, II A MS-1 with 100% crew, net and bino's can be a very effective TD. Lot's of seasoned players play the low teirs, so you can get some very good battles. The US T18 and T57 are lots of fun.

I agree with the bolded, although 3001P has a terrible stock grind

I find it quite flexible when you've mastered  the shell arc - at longer range you can even use autoaim to fire indirectly over small hills, which is fun. Close range is of course a happy place for derp guns, but you'll have to find weaker armour for the measly 95mm.

T32 or AMX50100 or Ferdi or Caernavon?

128mm on ferdi made me giggle, it's very nice at that tier. Been a while since I played it though, and there is more penetration about these days

If there are only meds opposing it is ultimate troll tank. Have steel wall with 70+ hits on it to prove point. :)

But get BP, it is quite good, and leads to Caernarvon which is excellent.
