Let's start with ASAP video... Looks intersting new engine upgrade opening the way to later features is nice, nation battles might be interesting... for rebalance of X TDs, let's see the results. New map looks nice... No new tanks.

I heard something about nation vs nation mode, I'd only play that if I could.

But then what do you do with "support" nations like the French?

Hope you play a team against them when you start a battle with your British tanks.

I might troll with a platoon of 183s and me in my 4202 at launch just to see if we get that. 2 years on no one but unicums still knows how to play the French effectively. The amount of Butthurt and cries of OPness that one would hear if a team full of BatChats, Foch 155s, and 50B gets British on Redshire would be heard in Minsk. I could probably toss nothing but HESH and still make money in a battle like that. Deadeye + HESH + French armour = mad profit for me.

This update isn't very large.  It some good items though.  I really like the entire crew movement part.  Best part of update IMO.  Agree new map looks interesting.  But I want all buildings breakable.  I know just me.  Also, like the Camo storage part.  I like the idea of switching my camo and emblems.  And maybe the second best part is being able to turn off showing who shot you.  That was so annoying.

What is the Big World engine and does it change the gameplay or graphics?

Big World engine is the basic game engine - it affects both gameplay and graphics. More like a base for further upgrades.

A long time ago I felt real pain when I had to retrain the crew from the Pz III A to the Pz III.... it just made no sense....

So yeah... I got excited a little too soon.  This is from FTR:

- added the option to disable the battle chat (only text messages – you will still see the “command wheel” commands and pings)

That's from the patch notes.  In another post he quotes a dev saying the same thing.  The issue here is that pings, as they stand, are half of the problem.  Their current protocols for controlling spam are awful/nonexistant and unless those are changed as well this is only a half-measure at best.

The Foch nerf also sounds like it could be pretty significant (which, to be fair, it needs to be):

- Foch alpha nerf will not be compensated, Object 268 alpha nerf will be compensated only partially, basically Foch will have thinner armor overall, lower mobility (engine nerf) and lower DPM

I'm glad I stopped working up the Foch line back when these changes were first announced.

Also glad to see Sniper removed and those new medals introduced.

Hence begins the march to nerf the mediums. The Wheel of Nerfs shall continue to turn unabated.

I don't see why they would nerf mediums.

Arty got nerfed because people complained that there were too many and they were OP (Debatable, but I'm just saying what the whining online was all about). Arty got absolutely pummeled by the nerfhammer, and suddenly there were TDs everywhere and people complained they were too many and they were OP (Again, debatable.). TDs are getting the nerf--especially the Foch 155, which is probably getting overnerfed, and guess what will happen now? Mediums will be able to roam a bit more freely because arty can't hit them on the move and TDs can't smash them with uber-alpha guns. You will see an up-tick in mediums, and eventually high tiers will be infested with them.

Guess what will happen then?
