It's time for another Steam summer sale which isn't anything all that amazing in and of itself.

What did catch my eye were the discounts on some of the more hardcore strategy games that are typically very expensive.  Gary Grigsby's War in the East is 70% off and now just $23.99.  Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa is 61% off and now just $19.49.  Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations is 67% off and now just $26.39.  Those are just the ones I noticed since they're on my wishlists.

These titles are usually so expensive I just glance them over.  I'm not sure if they're typically this much off (most games on my wishlist are just 20-30% off with 50% being the max for most titles) but it caught my eye so I thought I'd share.

There is also one on the Digital Combat Simulator, 50 percent off most titles. Just bought myself a Mirage 2000.

I tried to restrict myself, because there are still so many barely played games in my list. :(

But Battletech I could not refuse, looking at my boxes with tin and hexgrids.

Wolrd of Guns is actually quite interesting too, if you are in a kinda doomsday preppy mood.

Was really hoping Cold Waters would dip below $20 (my threshold) but it's holding steady in the upper 20s.

One game that I've been eyeing for a while is Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun (which is down to $20 with the sale).  It's sitting at 92% recent/95% overall rating.  That's phenomenal!  The min specs are just a bit above where my machine is at so I'd hate to buy it only to have to wait a few months to actually play it.

Picked up the lastest Spintires Mudrunner, and bought all the Cities Skylines DLC.

Two expansions to Cities: Skylines. A nice relaxing game... Vibes of SimCity and Transport Tycoon.

Also... Broke and though it is not my style, got Kingdom Come: Deliverance, mostly for the nicely done middle ages Czech countryside (moreover area I know personally - well enough to notice the sneaky buggers moved some villages and deleted one meander of the river ;))
