Totally sweet AC-119. What are the weapons on the pylons of the BUFF?

AGM-142 Popeyes. Israeli-developed smart bombs with a good glide capability. IIRC they were bought to give the B-52 a better standoff conventional capability (TV-guided) in the 2000lb class range.

B-52s carry three on the HSABs, two under one wing (I've never seen anything other than port), the third on the forward position of the other (starboard) HSAB. The rear position on the second HSAB is occupied by the datalink pod.

Stationed at Loring AFB 'in the day' I saw a lot of Harpoons on the inboard pylons. If not Harpoons, iron bombs.

Thanks for the ID.
