The Red Army broke the siege of Leningrad on 18 January 1943 as the German Army was thrown some 10 km away from the shore of Lake Ladoga. A railroad was built ridiculously quickly between Polyany and Shlisselburg and freight trains started to roll into the city on 5 February 1943. How did the newly established railroad "The Road of Victory" (Дорога победы) affect the volume of goods supplied to Leningrad?
