I'm actually curious how he did it using just contrails - did he have to actually find an altitude that was conning and bounce in and out of it to make the pattern? That's actually pretty impressive when you think about it. :)

I thought that as well. He seems to have been able to dodge out of the layer where contrail ice was forming.

Why would anyone complain? Clearly he was just practicing disengagement and reengagement techniques on a horizonal plane, followed by a left and right lag pursuit. Americans clearly have dirty minds. :)
