hasn´t been a topic here for a while.

( I bought this book because I was looking for something specific.  That did not work out. I learned however I need to look up farther North. )

Anyway, just a heads up on this book.  The word "autopsy" in the title is fitting.  The book describes on many pages in detail and with photos often, the US soldiers and the Maquis and the Germans killing each other and often enough murdering each other, including many first hand French civilian accounts of similar events.  It is rather gruesome. I am not really finicky on these things, and most war related books have one or two gripping accounts the reader must deal with, but this one is filled with them.

It can get you to cut down on your war literature reading.  I did not read it completely.

Keep it away from youngsters.
