"I noticed one thing about the Marine's uniforms in the footage. Their insignia looks to be drawn on their uniforms with grease pencils or some such thing. I imagine this is because they were going to dispose of the uniforms after this exercise because of the radiation......."--Mr King

Those are standard stencils, applied with a cut-out and brushed-on ink. Later, an iron-on kit was used. (That's what I used at OCS in '75). The paper with the decal is carefully placed over the pocket and ironed, transferring the decal from the paper to the cloth.
WOE to the Marine who botched the job!!!

In the early '90s, the Marines went to the service and name tapes over the chest pockets.  With the current MARPAT utilities, the emblem is stitched on the pocket at the factory.

And at the speeds it's supposed to operate it's going to need a lot more fire extinguishers than those on the photo to keep all those tyres from burning to much, no?

MAZ TEL trucks are just pure sexy.

Chinese version is more "modern" looking and lacks the "oomph" look of the MAZ TELs.

The head light set seems somewhat small as well, about the same size as a sedan car.

French documentary about their nuclear weapons but sadly quality is not very good so you cannot see details of the warheads. I'd assume those are either TN-70 or TN-75 warheads.

Bite your tongue commie  :P

My understanding is there is a spade on the ICBM trailer so the tractor can entrench it somewhat.. What I have always wondered is what is the crew of the tractor supposed to do other than put their heads between their legs and kiss their asses goodbye.

The US version of the Soviet FOBS?. AFAIK, banned under SALT II.

Been a bit stupid here, PLUTO  was a very powerful disturbingly fast cruise missile; nothing to do with fobs. Should of done my homework  .
