British Pathé covers flight of airship Graf Zeppelin from Germany to Rio de Janeiro in four short vignettes. For todays passenger used to flying cattle wag...I mean, low-cost carriers, the ship (and it really is a ship) looks absurdly roomy.
Graf Zeppelin was first flying machine to offer scheduled transoceanic service, though as can be seen from the video, flight travel was only for select elite - a huge ship and enormous ground crew was required to carry meagre 20 passengers. Also note '30s style hearing aid.
