One day the dark age of M4 clones will come to an end.....i hope. :(

Go East, young man... :P

That is the realm of eternal AK-clones with funky rebranding every decade. :(

'Zakly... :P  I wonder if Mauser was so abused in the '20s.

Let's hope that one day AEK-971 will find its way to light.

Someone please enlighten me here. UK armed plod uses (from my observations) G36k; with frangible rounds (I think). Otherwise, the last place I want to be is near a tanto that is about to get turned into a collinder, blow through and all that. Even should the savage be wearing body armour, wouldn't the frangible 5.56 hit with enough energy to put them on their arse?.

TIA

Charles

They seem to be moving to the SIG MCX from what I've seen/heard. NFI which calibre, though.

Upon consideration, that drum is a good call for the point man--it gives a good, long mag dump for breaking contact without too much added weight.

What Dawes said, i`m completely unable to tell any of them apart anymore, even back when everyone was wearing M1 steelpots there were still enough telltale signs of the origins of the wearer. Today all run around with those bicycle helmets strutting with gadgets, hold M4 clone carbines/rifles with the buttstock on top of their shoulders, mix-and-matched gear and have camopatterns that look exactly the same even though each of them have diehard supporters who insist upon how fantastic and unique they are. ^_^

Even potential adversaries like the PLA and ROC soldiers are hard to tell apart from a short distance.

There was a time when half the world was wearing woodland or very close variations. Put an M1 steel pot on the head and it got hard to tell who that was in your scope. So not so much has changed.

multicam is the new woodland. ;)

Are those NODs Thales Tyto? Definitely Wilcox G24 mounts, but the NODs are much more compact than the BNVD/PVS-31.

Not in the realms of the euroweenies! :D

Granted, the US clone/WW2 reenactment armies of South and Latin America though went full steel pot, olive drab and or woodland. :ninja:

Not the Chileans!

I don`t know Sunday, when moviemakers went deep into the deepest Yugoland to find suitable WW2 equipment in the late 60s for Kelly`s Heroes, the Chileans were rolling in the streets with it just a few years later ;) :

Ok, seems the Chileans nowadays use the Stahlhelm for ceremonial duties only.
