The Chauchat in 8 × 50 mm R Lebel worked reasonably well actually. It's when faulty reamers for 7,62 × 63 mm are used that it stops working in short order. :P

Take a closer look. These are G36 variants.

 

Those front ends with the rails look weird at the point where the rail contraption meets the plastic receiver.

So, is there metal connecting the barrel(trunnion) with the optics rail or is this still the ole melt-o-matic Wanderer Zero HK36?
