Mk47 - With New Fire Control System

Unlike the LVS-1, the LVS-2 has integral thermal capability, in addition to being lighter and cheaper. It can also work with the M2 50 cal, due to it being pre-loaded with the correct ballistic library.

Well i guess the LVS-2 sight can be put on anything with a pic rail? good for australia to improve on night fighting.
Is it called Mark 47 in australian service?

What's with the counting? a timing issue?
It's a DFSW (direct fire support weapon platoon) thing. Ensures rounds are always landing on the target while giving each gun team time to reload, change barrels (system dependant), check target alignment when they're the "off" gun.

"Mk47" is pronounced "Mark 47", though it's also known as the LWAGL (lightweight AGL), "next generation" GLS, and LGMG (launcher grenade machine gun). The last two don't seem to be catching on, and LWAGL was the project component title of the parent project Land 40 Phase 2.
The HK GMG was selected in 2009, but the whole LWAGL component of the project was retendered in 2015 without the HK GMG being introduced into service.
