Since the Pacific Theater part is rather short, I'm adding the Mediterranean one, including lots of comment on the political situation in Italy. I excluded domestic reports from Vichy France, saving them for the "neutrals and lesser allies" section.

Fascist Action Units in Rome Again
By our correspondent
en Dr. v. L. Rome, 26 October
On 28 October, the anniversary of the March on Rome, the Fascists of Rome will muster for the first formation of the local organisation of the Fascist Republican Party. According to the announcement of Rome's local party leaders, it will be commemorated that Roman Fascism gave its verdict about unworthy members in high positions since its muster on [illegible] April this year already, and the traitors Bottai, de Bono etc. had to flee the congregation at this time. At the same time it is announced that Fascist action units, "Squadre d'Azione", have been raised in Rome again as shock troops of the party under the leadership of the shock troop leader Pollastrini, well-known in Rome. They are recruited from old Fascist fighters who already served in the action units under Farinacci, when he made a clean sweep of the then-opposition after the Mattoti affair. As the first fighter for Republican Fascism, Fascist Mengolini fell in the line of his duty on 18 October in Rome. In the announcement of the Roman Fascio it is stated that the Republican Fascists will avenge his death.
Badoglio Sold Out Sicily
Island to be separated from the mother country
Milan, 26 October
Italian radio reports of a secret clause in the ceasefire agreement made by Badoglio with the Anglo-Americans on 3 September. The ex-king and his general had conceded to the enemy in this clause that Sicily would be separated from the mother country after the war and get an "autonomous astatute", but the implementation of this regulation would only be published "at an appropriate time".
Badoglio and Victor Emmanuel thus have committed treason to all sides, as far as it was possible for them. They betrayed the Italian people in their existential fight; they betrayed the Duce, who had known to create a respected position among the nations for Italy in 20 years of work again; they committed treason against the German allies and broke their word multiple times; they double-crossed, as the latest announcements of the OKW reveal, the Anglo-Americans even as they were making a pact with them already, and they have now also betrayed Sicily, which ended up in the hand of the enemy through their insidious activities.

Africa Fighters and Africa Bonus
Report prisoners' mail to the Wehrmacht
Recently some former Africa fighters have written from captivity directly to their next of kin. It is necessary in their own interest to immediately announce those self-reports to the next defense reporting office or the "Tunis" task force which has been established at any acting general command. This notification is important since claims for the Africa bonus and other charges can be secured only by this. In this, the old field post number of the Africa fighter has to be stated in every notification. Dependents who have so far not taken any steps for inquiries are again requested to fill in a questionaire at the next defense reporting office. It forms the basis for the inquiries and for later regulation of charges.

Celebration of the Berlin Fascio on the 21st anniversary of the March on Rome
Berlin, 28 October
On the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the March on Rome, the Fascio of Berlin held a celebration in the domed chamber of the Reich sports field, festively decorated with the German and Italian flags.
In this event participated the members of the Italian embassy, the Fascio of Berlin, a strong delegation of the Italian workers active in Germany, a delegation of the Italian Armed Forces, as well as diplomatic representatives of the countries allied to the Axis powers. From the German side among others showed: Reich organisation leader Dr. Ley, the president of the German-Italian Society state minister Dr. M. Meißner, state secretary Keppler of the Foreign Office, and the president of the Union of Inter-State Associations, SS-Obergruppenführer Lorenz, as well as numerous other representatives of party, state and Wehrmacht.
The Negus Requests Italian Labor Troops
Barcelona, 28 October
The Negus has officially requested several thousand Italian labor troops from the Anglo-American military authorities in Southern Italy. He wishes to be acknowledged in the distribution of such labor contingents under all circumstances, and reminded of the promises of the British government that satisfaction would be given to him and his country in the case of a British victory over Italy.
Since the Badoglio soldiers are employed as labor slaves of the Anglo-Americans in their own country, the Ethiopian trabant also considers himself entitled to pose his demands in this regard. If Badoglio therefore assumed that he had respects or thanks to exopects as a "co-belligerent", then he will always be [cut off]
Decree of the Duce for the Protection of Internal Security
Rome, 28 October
The Italian state gazette publishes a ministerial decree of the Duce regulating the discipline of Italians in times of war. The decree includes a total of 13 points. In these among other things abetting the escape of prisoners of wars or inmates of concentration camps, publishing press articles against the prestige of the Axis powers and public security, unautorized participation in congregations, operating or tolerating radio broadcasting stations or listening to enemy stations, work flight and strike participation and similar anti-state actions are penalized by hard labor, in severe and the specificallöy listed cases even by death. The decree takes effect upon publication by the state gazette and radio.
North Africa Emigrants Caught in the Middle
jb. Vichy, 28 October
The French emigrants who could hardly wait for the arrival of the Americans in North Africa the previous year and now are turning their backs on North Africa disappointed and upsets is [sic] growing steadily. Not just General Nogues, the resident general of French Morocco who fled from Rabat to Lisbon, and not just Chatel, the governor general of Algeria who is also hiding from the Americans in Lisbon, but also a flock of lesser people have made deucedly bad experiences upon closer contact with the Angloamericans. If they were not arrested and they succeeded in escaping, they could consider themselves lucky yet.
In Madrid, one of those French USA- slaves has arrived again, who, grabbed by fear, has taken to his heels. This concerns a man named Popelin, who has been the secretary of the former interior minister in Vichy, Pierre Peucheu. Popelin now has to suffer the deserved emigrant fate - in North Africa he is being wanted by poster, to [cut off]

Fascist Rebuilding in Full Swing
Venice, 29 October
The leadership of the Fascist Republican Party has moved its central seat permanently to Northern Italy, namely close to the Duce's headquarters. Party secretary Pavolini is in closest contact with the Duce daily. Thereby the immediate implementation of the decisions made by the Duce is secured. The work of the Fascist rebuilding is now in swing in all areas of political, social and economic life. A permant representancy of the party remains in Rome to ensure the implementation of the Duce's decisions in Central Italy.
Dr. v. L. Rome, 30 October
Inside a few weeks after the capital of Apulia, Bari, has been declared the seat of the Badoglio phony government, life in this city has become an economic and domestic political chaos. In the city, the infamous political and criminal elements of Italy are having a rendezvous. Through the influx of Italian traitors, which went over to the enemy, and the presence of numerous Badoglio soldiers as well as other refugees from the provinces of Foggia, Benevent and Campobasso, the city proves overpopulated to a hardly imaginable degree. While the number of inhabitants reached about 200,00 at normal times, more than 500,000 people are in Bari now. Hand in hand with this goes a price hike, which has turned the areas around Bari that used to be so inexpensive into Italy's most expensive regions of all. The biggest part of the population, which finds itself unable to pay fantasy prices, is condemned to hunger.
Rigorous Terms for the Badoglio Clique
Amendment to ceasefire agreement
Vigo, 30 October
As Reuters claims to have learned, an agreement cionsisting of about 40 articles encompassing the economic and financial conditions to be met by Italy was signed on 1 October between the Allies and the Badoglio government. Persons who had seen the documents had called the terms "rigorous". Reuters points out that the new conditions were handed over in accordance with point 12 of the ceasefire, which was signed on 3 September and only touched upon the military capitulation then. The delivery of Italy to the Anglo-Americans thus continues. In this, "rigor" is the watchword. It is characteristic that Reuters cites point 12 of the ceasefire agreement. This is that clause giving the enemy any opportunity and handle for the ruthless exploitation and subjugation of Badoglio Italy. This clause they will pull out often yet, and Badoglio will flog off one piece after the other. But these are the effects of a despicable treason, about which the Badoglio clique could have been clear from the word go. Instead of the expected relief, he will get to feel the "rigor" often yet.
