The Houthis shot down a Saudi AH-64, allegedly using a Rapier missile.

Discussed on a local forum by the very knowledgeable AD guy - no way it was Rapier. Missile flew 17 seconds until hit, Rapier мissile flight time to a max range  is 11 seconds. Flight profile also does not fit (and it does not fit any radar guided missile vs such static target). Russian sources are mentioning SA-8 (and it was used previously successfully in Yemen), but again flight time and missile path don't fit.

It is possible it is again use of the AA missile (R-27T), just like F-15 that was hit.

No, missile acelerates way too fast for a ground launched R-73.

It accelerates even slower than R-73 and is pretty much useless in G-A role (Yugoslavia tried in 1999).

It looks like the heat from the burning fuel caused the tail to give way. It is intact for some time prior.
