To go where no man has gone before.

After literal years of anticipation, President Trump debuted a logo for the "Space Force" he's been touting his entire presidency. It's none of the adorable logos he asked Trump email subscribers to vote on about a year and a half ago, but instead a near-exact replica of the Starfleet Command logo from Star Trek.

As long as they don't introduce red uniform shirts. In fact the fatigues they've shown are refreshingly down to earth, so to speak, after all the service-specific camo extravaganzas of recent decades.

Of course there has been no shortage of suggestions for alternate patterns, from black with sprinkles of stars, to stormtrooper white with black accents, to office grey with a keyboard and monitor printed on the back, and a chair on the front.

Oh yeah, and

Stormtrooper white would be good, but it's going to show up coffee stains and Hershey crumbs in a heartbeat.

I am seriously hoping some dead-ender staff droid within the B-ring at the Pentagon is trolling Trump. One last barbaric yawp, so to speak.

Banshee is correct, of course, that the logo really ought to be workstation-oriented. But its the 21st century, so executive swivel chairs, dual widescreen LCDs, Keurig machines, etc.

They probably don't need camouflage in space.  Star Wars naval empire uniforms probably are better.

I was going to join, but I couldn't find a recruiter.

Then I realized for the first few years "needs of the service" means being a recruiter. :D

(Stolen fron someone else)
Given that apparently most planets look like the lower mainland of BC, the camo uniform should be just fine.
