canadians actually. But I think they use a small pocket computer cupled with weather sensors instead of a book with tables nowadays. And I think that can be considered a fire controlsystem of sorts.

 

 

The .408 CheyTac cartridge can reach that far, but that rifle looks like an optimized rig for recreational shooting to the farthest possible range. I doubt it is grunt proof.

The way round this is to have guided munitions. A guided 12.7x99 is going to be a whole lot easier to achieve great accuracy at very long ranges with than ballistic solutions, even .408 CheyTac. Does anyone know how far they have progressed with the guided fifty calibre? There was a test video put out a few years ago, but it all seems to have gone a bit quiet since.
