It's missing it's slide release and there is something weird going on with the applied safety. Is it an airsoft?

Is part of the problem that the BDC is calibrated for M855 whereas the rounds they are shooting are essentially M193?

 

This and depending on the exact model of ACOG the reticle might be made for the shorter M4 barrel. Also tehy say they have never shot these rifles to these distances before. But for a first try it was really good results and shows what the rifles are actually capable off. The shooter is the limiting factor in most cases.
