I do find it somewhat ironic, you get upset when you see British people defacing established and venerable edifices, and then you go and do it to Bill.:)

I fell in love with ANZAC biscuits, and frankly Id sell all the remaining pink bits on the map for another packet of those.

Bill is a venerable edifice? How did I deface him?

Not much of a deal, then. Which remaining pink bits are worth as much as a pack of biscuits?

In fairness they have been locked down a hell of a lot longer than America has. For the most part until recently it stuck too.

There's no "be fair" about it.

There is no reason to "be fair" to people who are being stupid and who when challenged on their idiocy, react in this way. there is no need for a balanced view here - that's a fallacy that perpetuates the decline.

It was illustrating a false premise, that Britons were behaving exactly like Americans. If they had been locked down a couple of weeks before the lockdown failed, as seemingly happened in few American states (I seem to recall one even had a legal challenge to its right to lock down) then I would agree we were behaving exactly like Americans.

But Britain  has been locked down since March, and for the most part has proven solid. So yes, fair is recognizing this occurred in very different circumstances. People do have a right to be pissed off at the restrictions. I'm pissed off at the restrictions, even as I recognise they are necessary and observe them. That is not suggesting its an excuse to break them.

The only believable explanations for the hash of a language that English became, are extraterrestrials or reptilians.

Full body condoms. Or if you are picky about breathing, put them in separate rooms and drill a hole in the wall. Love will find a way.

It seems that the recent campaigns have worked very well.

Yes Minister.  Just started watching this on YouTube and it is freaking hilarious!  This show harks back to the great days of British Comedy, it could never be made today.

The number cutting thing is odd. I suspect deliberate misinformation from Army HQ to protect their equipment budget.

See also selling all the stored MRAPs in a hurry before the forthcoming defence review tells the army what the politicians want them to be able to do.

The Wolfhounds cost over a million a pop. I doubt they'll sell for 10% of that.

In other news, of "thousands" of legal cases brought against British forces in Iraq, only 1 is still open after an independent review.

Money well spent...
