The above image looks closest to 24DMU (Digital Mock-Up).

Although previous images representing the F-3 in earlier official documents tented to look like the other DMUs, particularly 26DMU. So of course the latest image could still be just an image place holder. But still, its the latest and is besides actual budget being allocated to its air-frame development.

I'll put these here instead of the China dragon air thread since this thread seems to get a mix from all over so just putting these here.

Said to be WS-10 engines on this possible second batch of J-20. Engines surely look different than earlier J-20s. Some say they are WS-10B engines while some places say WS-10C.

The Koreans quietly inaugurated the F-35 into ROKAF service a few weeks ago, in true stealth fashion.

The sky over Takeshima just got a little more interesting.

The arrival of the first two F-35s was well informed.

And Moon went by past one of them, so can't call it so stealthy implementation.

Jane's Defence Weekly reports otherwise.

Well Jane's alone does quite a bit of informing :)

But the Jane's article you're referring to is probably the following. But there's another part to it that I'll make in bold underscore red. It was a time during Fat-Kim's announced "Christmas Gift" to POTUS. Here's an article talking about the Christmas Gift threat dated December 3rd.

The Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) has declared its Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) combat aircraft to be operational, national media reported on 17 December.

The declaration was made during a low-key ceremony at the 17th Fighter Wing base in the central city of Cheongju, the national Yonhap News Agency reported, adding that the press was not allowed to the event and no official announcement was made so as not to provoke North Korea.

No other details of the ceremony, such as what the declaration of being operational means, were disclosed, although Yonhap did note that the RoKAF has to date received 13 of its planned 40 F-35As.

As noted by a senior RoKAF official at the event, the service used the occasion of the recent Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX) to showcase the F-35 to the public for the first time.
