 For a happy moment I thought the USS Cyclops or Flight 19 had turned up. :D

 

Great story. Amazing that it survived at all.

I wonder how "hot" it is.  I mean, you can climb on it, etc. so I would imagine not much more than anything else out there...

Haven't you heard radiation is harmless? Some even say it's good for your health, breaks up alcohol, nicotine, colesterol and fat. No kidding, get enough radiation and you'd never have to worry about the other stuff any more. ;)

Well, alcohol, nicoteen and fat will just dissipate away if the cells they effect do too! :D

Radiation is dangerous but not as much as has been claimed in movies, etc.. In the first 25 years following Hiroshima-Nagasaki there were only about 500 deaths attributable to post event exposure to radiation
