Just out to point out, this is now for sale on Steam for £1.24. Ok, so its now 20 years old, but its far more complicated and interesting than I remember it. Remarkably it actually runs fine under windows 10, and looks reasonable with more advanced graphics cards.

Did you get it the first time around? Ive had an advantage in that I held onto the original manual and CD. I only bought it on steam because my blessed PC doesnt have a CD drive....

I forgot how much fun it was using a Norden. :)

Its still good. Ok, so Ive some issues with starting the damn thing up and taxiing it to the runway, because the computer thinks it can do a better job (its probably right) and interfering at awkward moments when I change screens. But its really built around the navigation, the bomb aiming and the air gunnery, so its a minor gripe at best. Im actually amazed it looks as good as it does for a 20 year old game.

There are some renders of the new B17 game that Microprose are working on. I can only hope that gets a release one day, because it some excellent modelling.

Now that I have my Thrustmaster joystick, been firing up this and IL-2:1946.

I am saddened how bad pilot I am :D

Including head-on collision with Zero in latter....

Yeah, it doesnt fit very well with a thrustmaster stick. Its a damn shame I cant program the keys to joystick switches.

Still, we have this coming to cheer us. Perhaps we can form a Tanknet Bomber Crew....

That'd be...epic.

I have experience with team games...like War in the East where I stole (accidentally) couple of armies from STAVKA....

Is there a multiplayer version of War in the east? That would be fun.
