But he has 8 inch (or possibly 155mm) fire support to cry out for right behind him if the M14 jams.

Truth!

On a trivia note: Were any WWII M1911A1-pattern pistols made with angled slide serrations?

Ahh, marvelous to see Shawn Hindle on camera, Jim and Him have a lot of back and forth on parts and stuff.

We have some PIAT's in our 'club'. Jim Burrill has made up some Nerf rounds with 12 gauge shotgun blanks in the base to fire them so you can get a feel for how the system works. The cardboard and foam projectiles are not bad for hitting moving vehicles either.

And yes, the fuze was a simple percussion fuse. Dropping an armed bomb at your feet would be a Real Bad Thing .

I have a book on weapons of the Vietnam War that has a photo of two Asian looking troops with what is described in the caption as using an RPG, whilst up to their shoulders in water (yes I know, we have seen photos of the PR of China's troops operating in water with various firearms.)

But this photo was obviously of a PIAT, taken by someone God knows where, being against God (no disrespect to the Lord intended) knows who, and in a situation - in a swamp where no tank would venture anyway........

If anyone really really wants it I can scan and post I guess.  If I can find the book.....................

True. Though I ould have expected a Desert Eagle in tactical gold tigerstripe camouflage. Magnum Research knows who their customers are. :D

because it is. Though that scope looks too big for a grenadier, and if it will hold up if fed a diet of 40 mm grenades?

Are those Afghan Army Commandos?

NOT trying to start a conspiracy war here, but I thought this is an interesting historical tidbit:

Ironic, that the cartridge had been loaded for a CIA contract originally.

But he does not tell us the secret recipe for making that one special magic bullet!
