Not exactly a new idea, but are AT rifles on Mindanao?

Assuming these things are still around. I mean AT rifles? Though what works against them should also work against super heavy machine guns.

Balistically they are the same. The bullets do not care if shot from a machine gun barrel or a single-shot rifle barrel.  The latter can be built in a metal workshop.

Have any stolen M2 machine guns shown up in rebel hands on Mindanao?

Stug had 30mm of the side armor. Simbas and CGs have about 8mm. Logs are not gonna help, it is same cargo culting we see in Syria.

That, and a bit of advertising the faith of the soldiers inside at least one of the Simbas:

I don't know what that rifle strapped to the wood panels is.  I do like the unashamed declarations of Christianity, though.  Even if some Muslims don't like that sort of thing, I think it makes an important point, namely "We're not submitting, converting or going away.  You folks need to learn to tolerate people who believe differently than you."  If such displays goad a few of the more militant into open rebellion, so much the better since it will allow them to be killed now under martial law.  At the same time, such writing isn't actually an act of aggression, so those who respond violently to it put themselves in the wrong.

A quick google of "Moro rebels guns" show various types of RPGs, 50 cal sniper rifles and 50cal HMGs.

This appears to be a side view of the vehicle with the hood ornament in my original post that I had not seen, so thank you.

The Philippines have almost as extensive a hand-tooled backroom firearms industry as Pakistan, though it could equally be someone's beat-up family heirloom World War II original.   I find myself imagining that they took the BAR off a jihadi whose last thought was, "why doesn't this thing shoot??!"

An 'clean' upgraded V-150 wearing the digital camouflage of the Philippine Marines near Marawi:

They do not have 105 mm KaJaPa! ;)

But seriously, how many dismounts are left when a M242 is mounted overhead? Additional ammunition and gunner have to go somewhere and the turret isnt weightless either.

And is it still amphibious?

Isn't all the ammo stored in the turret?

Yep - that's the Elbit UT-30 turret, IIRC. Self-contained, unmanned turrret.
